Unity of the Old and New Testaments

To understand the importance of the coming of Christ and why he chose to say the words he said and undertake the signs and activities he undertook, we look at the expansive nature of the covenantal relationship God has with man. We trace the covenant through the Old Testament all the way to King David. Using covenantal typology, economy, and mystagogy, we can more easily see that Christ comes to renew the Davidic covenant, establish the Kingdom of God, and form a Church with sacraments capable of making us members of that Kingdom.
