Palm Sunday Reflection
Christ enters triumphantly into Jerusalem as king and Messiah. Judas hangs himself. Mary accompanies Christ, and now us, in all suffering and tribulation.
Fr. Carter offers a reflection on why Christ enters as he does into Jerusalem with the people waving branches. St. Matthew — the only one of four Gospel writers — records Judas' suicide as he recounts the Passion narrative. The Blessed Virgin is a silent, steadfast, ever present mother to Christ in his suffering and death; she continues to accompany us in all sufferings, anxieties, persecutions, and tribulations.
